Greek interlinear bible amazon full#
But even if you do have this, you most likely will want to get the full (non-interlinear!) text of the Hebrew Bible and Greek New Testament.Keyed to Strong's Exhaustive Concordance, the Interlinear Hebrew-English Bible offers pastors, students, and laypeople a time-saving tool for researching the subtle nuances and layers of meaning within the original biblical languages. So, in conclusion, I would recommend getting this if you can afford it. The size of the print is quite small, so the vowel marks and the accent marks can be *really* hard to distinguish. On the left of each Hebrew/Greek interlinear column, there is a narrow column with English text (the translation used is _The Literal Translation of the Bible_). The English equivalents for the words are below. There are two columns of Hebrew/Greek text on each page with Strong's numbers above each word. It's very handy and helpful for looking up things, especially when you don't want to pull out that great big lexicon! The Amazon discount makes it more affordable than it would be otherwise. I am extremely please with this purchase and would highly recommend it.Īll things considered, I like this Bible very much and have no regrets about buying it. Jehovah rather than LORD is used where the Tetragrammaton ( YHWH ) is located.Ģ) Print is kind of small, but is of good quality Other than that this is an excellent translation and it is nice to have both the Hebrew and Greek scriptures together in one book.ġ) Strong's numbers referenced for each Biblical word.Ģ) Both Hebrew and Greek scriptures are in one book.ģ) Restores the Divine Name YHWH to its proper place in scripture. It is at John 10:30 where Jesus said "I and the Father are one" the word one there is referenced with Strong's number 1722 and it really should be 1520. I have found one typo, though it was minor, it threw me for a loop at first. So you can quickly understand the background, usage, and underlying meaning of EVERY WORD in the Bible. One of the best features is the fact that Strong's numbers are listed above each word. This Interlinear has quickly become my favorite. I use this work daily and have already dug up some gems (check the comment about translating 'Delight' in the preface). The only slight complaint is that the clarity of the Hebrew text itself is not always what it could be - you will need a bright light and possibly a magnifying glass. Most of my time is spent in the excellent Hebrew Interlinear. The Greek Scriptures are from the Textus Receptus and of interest in comparing with the Westcott & Hort.

As the previous reviewer stated, the divine name is appropriately rendered in the English which defies the superstition of combining the tetragrammaton (YHWH) with the vowel points for adonai that ultimately gave us that travesty, LORD, in so many translations. There is an excellent parallel English translation along with the interlinear in the Hebrew and Greek Scriptures.

It's the Masoretic text and includes Strong's numbering.

The Hebrew interlinear is probably of more interest than the Greek because of its commodity value, and as such is excellent for earnest Bible students.
